NEW DELHI: At least four pilgrims were killed and nine others seriously injured when a bus collided with a truck on Monday morning, police said.The accident occurred around 5am when the bus, carrying devotees from Ayodhya to Varanasi, was travelling on the Lucknow-Varanasi National Highway near Sihipur village.
Superintendent of police, Jaunpur, Dr Kaustubh, said there were 50 people on board. The accident happened when the bus driver attempted to overtake the truck, leading to a severe collision that completely damaged the front portion of the bus.
